Journal articles under blackwell-synergy.com/links/doi/ scraped incorrectly

http://www.blackwell-synergy.com/links/doi/10.1046/j.1365-8711.2003.06165.x

This page is identified by Zotero as "Web page" rather than "Journal Article" (judging by the icon that appears in the address bar). It fails to save; the "Saving item..." box appears, but contains no text (and does not disappear when Firefox is closed).

Here is a Blackwell journal article that does save correctly (note the slightly different URL (doi/abs instead of links/doi)):

  • I am having this exact same problem, and was just about to post a comment about it.

For what it's worth, I turned on the Error console and did not find any errors. I also have this trouble in JSTOR, occasionally. Can anyone explain why this error occurs?

    Thanks,
    Whitt
  • I tried scraping JSTOR on a troublesome article again, and I did not see any zotero errors in the console, but I did receive this one.

    Error: not well-formed
    Source File: file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/K.%20M.%20Kilburn/Application%20Data/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/ghs2bjqs.default/localstore.rdf
    Line: 1, Column: 1
    Source Code:
    ^
Not being all that tech savvy, I have no idea whether this error is related to the scraper issue. Just thought I would pass it along.

Thanks for zotero. Despite a few glitches here and there, it's been terrific for organizing my unwieldy collection of PDFs.

  • Yeah Zotero doesn't recognize the sciencedirect.com site either, where plenty of journals are located.
The doi url doesn't work with zotero either, such as:
    doi:10.1016/j.cognition.2006.04.010

    sample page:
