[5.0 Beta] Report generation error

edited January 26, 2017
This is another error regarding report.
In .121 version, broken characters are fixed.

However, there is another problem, so I start new discussion.

1. When I generate a report from a note, all the content is not reported.
In the middle of a note report ends, and the rest part is gone.

2. When I generate report for an item with 117 notes, some notes are reported and some notes are not reported.

I think this error is limited to non-English characters.
With notes in English, there is no error, I guess.

  • For reference, I made .wmv file showing the situation.

    Please have a look. Thanks.
  • This should be fixed in build 123, available in a few minutes.

First of all, thanks for your work.

On build 123, I tested some.

    1. Reports of each note look fine. All the content is reported.
(Even though some old notes including pictures are reported without pictures and lines after them, it doesn't matter because Zotero will not allow pictures any more. However, if it could be fixed, it's better.)

    2. Reports of book or journal articles are NOT stable: some items are reported with all the notes, but some are reported without notes. Especially items with more than about 15 notes are not stable.

    Thanks again.

  • Reports of book or journal articles are NOT stable: some items are reported with all the notes, but some are reported without notes. Especially items with more than about 15 notes are not stable.
Unlikely to have anything to do with the item type. Can you provide a screenshot of this?
  • I updated to .124, and tested some.

    1. You're right. The problem has nothing to do with item type. It is related with pictures within notes. Some of my old notes, which were made on Zotero 4, contain pictures in them. When I make reports items with notes only in text, there was no problem. However, reports of items with notes containing pictures suddenly end before pictures. I think this is not a crucial problem because it is not allowed to insert pictures into notes any more.

Anyway, I made .wmv file as reference:
    http://acpforkr.cafe24.com/note-with-picture.wmv

    2. With reports of link-notes containing HTML code, some are reported normally, but some are reported with HTML code.

For clear understanding, I made .wmv file:
    http://acpforkr.cafe24.com/link-note-report.wmv

    Thanks.
  • I believe this should be fixed in the latest build.
  • On 5.0-beta.126+ae47ae2,

    1. Items with notes containing pictures are reported with pictures. It works fine.

    2. However, reports of notes written in link are still unstable: some are reported with HTML codes. The same codes are reported normally in notes, not link notes.

I made another .wmv file. I think this will help you find out the cause.

    Thanks.
  • Try again now.
  • In tried it on 5.0-beta.127+4871374.

    Nothing changed. The same error.

I tried some more link notes, and found that there are errors with link notes stating by
      HTML codes.

      Here is an example.
(I put space after < to show codes)

      < ul id="cont" class="depth01" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; list-style-type: none; color: #444444; font-family: 'Nanum Gothic', dotum; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 22.1px; orphans: auto; text-align: left; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 1; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background-color: #f8f8f8;" > < li style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; width: 877.594px; display: block; line-height: 19.5px;" >목차< /li> < li style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; width: 877.594px; display: block; line-height: 19.5px;">머리말 = 5< /li> < li style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; width: 877.594px; display: block; line-height: 19.5px;" >1장 권위를 거부한 지식인 = 13 < li style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; width: 877.594px; display: block; line-height: 19.5px;">
      ......

  • It works fine now. Very good.
    Thanks.
