In trying to syn for the first time to zotero from my home computer, I get this error, repeatedly: attachmentPath cannot be set for link attachments.

    I just tried to sync to see if I'd get better results than before, and I, too, keep getting this error: "attachmentPath cannot be set for link attachments."

    Anyone know what this means and how to fix it?

    I reset the server and actually got my first successful sync to go through!

    I have had the same problem twice today.
    I improted about 50 refs from reference manager, and several PDFs, on Zotero, on home PC under Windows XP. PDFs were in the File://c:\folder etc spec in the citations, and automatically imported ok...

    At work I synced my macbook ,which alread have about 10 references. It went into conflict resolution, and after that tried to sync but got the attachment path error.
    I had to reset sync and restore from server.

    Then in on my office iMac, same situation and results.

    Even though it "worked", having to wipe out and download everything just to sync defeats the purpose of synching!

    Let me know what other info you need to help fix...

    This problem is most likely already addressed on the trunk (see r4286), and we'll include the fix in 1.5 beta 3. Thanks for the report.
