Do you have an idea of what is going on ? And a way to solve this problem ?

Thanking you in advance for any help

Best regards
  • I'm pretty sure it's just picking up the language from your OS for the date -- we can try to troubleshoot this, but is it actually a problem for you? Note that Zotero parses the dates for citations anyway and produces it in the right format and language for the citation style.
  • I have just tried to change the langage of my OS and put it in English but the date still stay in French. It's a problem for me as I import those references in our documentary web portal which give bibliographic references in English.
  • but how are you exporting them? Zotero export translators can also do any format you want.
  • But you can look at the instructions here: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/173875/#Comment_173875
    that'll likely work, too.
  • I have followed the instruction you gave me yesterday but I does work.

Zotero user interface changes and turn into English but the publication date ie Month is still in French !

The references stored in Zotero are imported in my documentary software through a specific connector wich belong to this Opensource library management software called PMB (http://www.sigb.net/pmb/). This connector imports the reference as it is in Zotero, it is the reason why it is so important that the Publication date in Zotero is a real copy of the original bibliographic reference.

How can I achieve this goal ?

This connector imports the reference as it is in Zotero
I mean -- that's just a bad idea and they should fix it. Zotero stores parsed dates in its database and they should be pushing those to any database. The literal date field, since it allows for various formats of manual entry, is bound to be inconsistent.

Beyond that, though, I'm afraid I don't have a good idea. It's possible that the site recognizes you're in France and serves the date in French in the metadata or so.
