Difficulties with Credo Reference
I'm not able to save directly articles from Credo Reference, either through the website's interface or using the extension. I've been working on a paper with a ton of articles in these databases, so any help would be appreciated.
Currently running Zotero Connector 4.0.29.11 in Chrome 54.0.2840.71 m.
--
For example, with this entry in the Columbia Encyclopedia for "South Africa" here: http://search.credoreference.com/content/entry/columency/south_africa/0
--
Through the website, I select Cite Article (the quotation marks icon)
Then select Zotero from the drop down
My browser is redirected to this page: http://literati.credoreference.com/export/items?target=zotero&entry=columency/south_africa/0&force=true
With this displayed in the window: {"status":"redirect","message":"https:\/\/www.zotero.org\/oauth\/authorize?oauth_token=d96189ebeb0bb4aa4d1e","body":null}
(this is what I see: http://i.imgur.com/TMaWU3q.png)
--
Through the extension, the button changes to "Save to Zotero (COinS)"
When clicking the button, the "Zotero Item Selector" window pops up
All the options are for "Related Articles" listed on the right, and not the main article

Upgrade Storage
Credo Reference provides RIS (found under cite menu as "Reference Manager" option), which could be the basis for a translator. Referencing an existing RIS based translator and translator docs it should not be very difficult to create.
As a workaround you could use Zotero for Firefox and use the "Reference Manager" option, which will prompt you to import the item. Chrome Connector support for RIS imports is coming with Zotero 5.0.
To clarify this, it's very unusual for sites to provide "Zotero" export options, and it's not something we recommend. But as adomasven says, since they generate RIS already it would be easy for someone to create a translator that would allow saving via the Zotero save button.
