Keep pages when changing Item Type

When I change the Item Type from Book to Report, I get warned that the pages field will be lost. However, the Report Item Type does also have a pages field. I do not understand why it is necessary to re-enter the number of pages when switching between these Item Types. I admit this is not urgent but it would do no harm if it were to be addressed. Thanks.
  • that's because "pages" and "number of pages" are different fields. Reports _should_ have a number of pages fields, in which case the info wouldn't get lost, but it _does_ have a pages field, and so it doesn't get moved (nor should it). Once the field for reports is fixed, this'll work correctly.
