Zotero Firefox add-on ODF scan not working

When I try to scan a document using the Firefox add-on, the scanning window open ("RTF scan"), but I cannot enter an input file. When I click "choose file" nothing happens. I updated the add-on on May 16th, and this is the first time I've tried doing a scan since then.

    could you check your Firefox version and the version of the add-on? The Firefox version is just under the ? menu, the add-on version under about:addons when you click on "more" for the add-on.

    Add-on version: 4.0.29.10

    OK, and the ODF scan add-on?

    I've checked that there are no available updates for either of the add-ons.

    there is a new version, auto update is just temporarily broken.
