Enabling Zotero Commons

I'm having a problem enabling the Zotero commons - I'm following the instructions found here <https://www.zotero.org/support/commons>.

I've entered my S3 Access and Secret Keys, and under <https://www.zotero.org/settings/commons/>; I am trying to select the "Enable" button. When clicked, I get a dialog box asking "Apply settings from zotero.org?"; I select "Okay" and then another dialog box opens asking how I want to open "1" which is "application/x-zotero-settings (122 bytes)". I have tried opening the command with Zotero standalone and Firefox, but nothing seems to be working and I can't get the commons to appear as an option within Zotero.

I have a feeling I'm doing something fundamentally wrong, but I cannot figure out what! Any help would be appreciated! Let me know if you need any further information or screenshots.

    I didn't know anyone used the Zotero commons anymore. Is this still alive?

    I followed the link to zotero.org/support/commons and got a page saying This topic does not exist yet. Can someone state for certain that the Zotero Commons is not active anymore. By the way you can still view the commons at https://archive.org/details/zoterocommons&tab=collection

    yes, Dan, the lead developer, removed the page. I'd consider the commons dead for all practical purposes.
