Zot File Corrupted?
I have a new Mac running OS X El Capitan with Zotero stand alone. I'm also using Word for Mac 2015. When I download the Zotfile add on I get a couple of error messages:
"The Open XML file zotfile-4.1.6-fx.xpi cannot be opened because there are problems with the contents or the file name might contain invalid characters....The file is corrupt and cannot be opened."
I click OK and then it says that Word found unreadable content. Do you want to continue to recover the contents of the document. I click yes and get another error message... "Office cannot open this file because some parts are missing or invalid."
I've downloaded and used Zot on my PC but am not having any success on my mac.

dstillman Zotero Teamedited January 31, 2016ZotFile is a Firefox (and Zotero Standalone) extension, not a Word plugin. If you want to use it in Standalone, you need to install it via the Add-ons pane in Standalone.

aortega13Thanks. I realized what I was doing was attempting to open the downloaded file directly instead of through Zotero. Opened it up through the Add-ons and I'm good to go. Thanks again!
