Zotero has created a new (empty) library
I have zotero directed to a mobile hard disk (USB connection) which I use at both home and work. Recently Zotero was disabled, so I deleted the sqlit file (its on a Mac OSX 10.4) and then it did open, but in a new blank library. I know the other data is there on my disk, now I just can't get at it.
I then went back and the sqlit file was there again, so i deleted that, then also the sqlite file, which was no doubt a mistake (was going from memory about your fix which i since looked up). Anyhow, whatever I do it is still the new library.
This may have occurred only after installing Endnote X2 - not sure because I didn't use Zotero for a while.
How do I make it go to my old library? Which file is causing this problem?

dstillman Zotero TeamSee Troubleshooting Zotero Data. Look for a zotero.sqlite or zotero.sqlite.bak with a file size file larger than the empty one. But if you did in fact delete the zotero.sqlite file containing your data, there's not much you can do other than restore from a backup.

marypThanks Dan I restored the sqlite file from a backup, saving it to replace the exisitng empty one, and now I have my library again!
