Google Books Not Working in Chrome + Windows 7 (1864217919)

Hi, when trying to download a reference from google books using the book icon in the address bar, I get:

"An error occurred while saving this item. Check Known Translator Issues for more information."

I'm using Chrome, Windows 7, and Zotero Standalone with the Chrome connector. All are up to date.

Every other site works fine, and right clicking and choosing "Save Zotero snapshot from current page" also works in Google Books.

This just started last week and was working fine before. I don't have realplayer or any of the extensions that seem to have been problematic in the past.

Still, I'm going to try disabling add-ons and extenstions, and will post if it helps.

Thanks.

  • Hi - any book on books.google.com

    So:

    http://books.google.nl/books?id=EvylnkgJ9ycC&printsec=frontcover&dq=sovereigns+mercenaries&hl=nl&sa=X&ei=6KpkVIHAPIfGPdGUgLAH&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q=sovereigns%20mercenaries&f=false
  • @Dan, could you check the error report, please?
    Works for me.

  • Hi, I'm having the same problem using Chrome with Zotero Standalone, both up to date.

    Sample URL: https://books.google.de/books?hl=en&lr=&id=LhSrAwAAQBAJ&oi=fnd&pg=PR11&dq=related:RVKCNj627PYJ:scholar.google.com/&ots=vPQU29I3yW&sig=zRSd3N5kq01MKLIb4364YM_4JQQ#v=onepage&q&f=false
  • I can't replicate this. Could you go through the steps outlined here and start a new thread with the information requested in step 11?
  • Thanks, but I can't seem to get your link to work. It doesn't appear to be associated with a URL.
  • Actually, scratch that. I was able to find the relevant page by looking at the source code. Appears that there's a typo in the html which meant that the link didn't work.
