When I try to enter a citation or add bibliography I receive this message:
Word could not communicate with Zotero. Please ensure that Zotero Standalone or Firefox is open and try again.
even though both zotero standalone and firefox are open.
What can I do?

if they don't help, I'd next try to experiment with (temporarily) disabling other security software to see if that's preventing communication between Zotero and Word.
