Okay adam, I moved a copy of Zotero this morning to my new profile, but I know that I did not bring everything into sync or check to see where my Zotero Library was. It appear that the citations that I had in the Zotero Library are all there.
What did you do?
Meanwhile, I am going straight to Amazon.com to rush me a 3.0 USB Backup Hard Drive to attach to my laptop and desktop.
Nothing happened on the Zotero side, you just probably recovered your library via sync. Make sure all your attachments are there, but if that's the case, you're all good.
Adam, I know you thought the other day that I did not get where you were going with your instructions. And I didn't at first because I have never been in some of the areas where I have had to go to fix software. For example, I forgot that I could send the old Zotero folder found in Firefox old data folder and just send that one file to my external flash drive and then send that to my Firefox profile file on the C:\ drive.
I checked out the pdf's they appear to be fine. I can get to them. Also, somehow Microsoft has placed the software for Windows 10 in my taskbar free of charge. I noticed that currently my Windows 7 guaranteed me that freebee. How nice of them. Also, one reason I have not change to Windows 10 is because I do not know what Zotero would do, and my desktop would be gone, as I understand. The new Adobe Reader now comes up to handle all pdfs, while all the windowed apps bother me, everyone I have talked to claims that Windows 10 is a good system.
One question: Has Zotero prepared for Windows 10 yet?
Because if I accidentally touch this button on my taskbar, this junky Sony of mine will have me in Windows 10 before I know it.
I don't believe Zotero has been officially tested with Windows 10, but I know of at least one person who is running it on the preview version just fine and in general Windows upgrades are quite good about compatibility.

What do you mean by "attachments?"

Thanks for the instructional help.
