HELP! A message says that Zotero needs to be upgraded but it is already up to date

I have Mac
OSX
10.9.5

BUT when I try to open Zotero from the browser it gives me
This version of Zotero is older than the version last used with your database. Please upgrade to the latest version from zotero.org.

Current version: 4.0.26.4

BUT the version is already updated. Could someone help me please.. Thank you!

Did you ever install MLZ/Multilingual Zotero? That's the most common reason people are getting that message.

So you want to keep using MLZ, parallel with Zotero? (no problem with that, just making sure I'm pointing you in the right direction).
