Tags imported with automatic tagging disable

Importing items in my library from Psycnet.apa.org web site through RIS (Zotero export option) bring all the tags in the references even if the option "automatically tag items with keywords and subject headings" is disable. Anybody could help? Thanks! Christian
  • automated tags only come from import via URL bar icon. If you import from an RIS file, tags are treated as regular tags.

Does the URL bar icon not work on Psycnet anymore? None of use has access, so it's hard to test.

"Does the URL bar icon not work on Psycnet anymore?"
It is irregular... It is not working well (years are not coming in)...

"None of use has access, so it's hard to test. " I think you can try with partial access (http://psycnet.apa.org/index.cfm?fa=search.defaultSearchForm. Clic the APA PsycNET logo if they ask to log in)

Any possibilities to not import tags with RIS import (without editing RIS file)?? Thanks again for your fast and reliable answers.
  • no, no easy way to suppress tags on RIS import.
Could you post a URL exactly as you see it for an item that imports w/o year as well as the exact article (ideally one that's available in the basic, free search).

Also, when you hover over the URL bar icon, what does it say?
  • Could it have something to do with a proxy?
I tried without a proxy (to be able to send you a URL that you will have access to) and it seems to work better.
  • Could you submit a debug log for importing an item using the URL bar icon with and without proxy? https://www.zotero.org/support/debug_output (enable debug logging in the browser that you're using)
  • The problem seems to be the proxy... The Debug ID is D1257137616.

  • @Budizz, update your translators via Zotero Preferences -> General -> Update Now, restart your browser, and try importing over proxy again. I'm not entirely sure that we fixed this, since I can't test over proxy.
  • @aurimas (and Dan S., AdamSmith) It seems to work well now from the fast test I just did.

Thanks (again and again) to the Zotero team and all the stakeholder who makes this software available and put the conditions (and $ I guess) to have an active forum like that and an effective software.
