New Styles for Annals of Botany
I have created a style for Annals of Botany
Known issues:
1) Bibliography is sorted as "First author - date" but it "should be it should be arranged alphabetically based on the surname of the first or sole author. Where the same sole author or same first author has two or more papers listed, these papers should be grouped in year order. Where such an author has more than one paper in the same year, these should be ordered with single authored papers first followed by two-author papers (ordered first alphabetically based on the second author's surname, then by year)"
2) Citations in text should be ordered after year.
3) et al and "a,b,c..." abbreviations should be in italics
4) it lacks an exception for thesis
Please let me know if you have fix for these issues.

Not yet possible as far as I know.
for 2)
You are calling the macro "issued", but that macro doesn't exist. Changing 'macro="issued"' into 'variable="issued"' should do the trick.
for 3)
This is not yet possible, but there is some discussion on how support for these things can be implemented: https://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_name=fbb7c5df0812120613p610a3bd2oc0a5e895240dab13@mail.gmail.com&forum_name=xbiblio-devel
for 4)
You can use type-based conditionals to get correct formatting of thesis entries. For an example, see https://www.zotero.org/trac/changeset/3485.
