Proxy acces not recognized
Hi,
I use two institutional proxies to access mathscinet, zentralblatt and other bibliographical sites. Unfortunately when I use one type of proxy zotero works perfectly well, but for another type it doesn't get the bib elements.
Typically the adress is
https://webmail.math.cnrs.fr/cgi-bin/nph-revues-filtre.cgi/000110A/http/www.ams.org/mathscinet/search/publications.html?[...]
where the 000110A number might change when browsing mathscinet.
I am not sure I set up the problem correctly... any help would be of great help.
Thanks,
Best
Fred

yes it's on Firefox... any idea?
https://webmail.math.cnrs.fr/cgi-bin/nph-revues-filtre.cgi/000110A/http/%h/%p
as a multi-site proxy. I'm not sure what the 000110A is doing and it's possible that breaks things. That's not part of the regular mathscinet URL, is it?
No idea about 000110A which is changing while I browse mathscinet...
I'm sorry I cannot help you but I have a similar problem and I wonder if any one can help please?
I am using Zotero via Firefox. I've entered in my academic proxy but Zotero will not automatically recognize when I'm using the proxy (as indicated by the lack of a pop up bar near the top of the Firefox window and the fact that I have to manually log into my academic remote login in page) to automatically give me access to pubmed papers and and journal websites.
My proxy is proxy.libraries.rutgers.edu
and it looks like this in Zotero
http://%h.proxy.libraries.rutgers.edu/%p
Zotero is set to read it as a multi-site. Also, proxy redirection is enabled and Zotero is set to automatically recognize proxied resources.
Finally, I should mention that this happened after a fresh install of the latest Zotero (4.0.26.4) and the latest Firefox (37.0.1) using Windows 8.
Any suggestions?

Should I try to paste a ReportID? I've never done it before but I'll try it if you think it'll help.
http://www.jstor.org/action/collectionsAvailable
into the address bar and hit return, Zotero doesn't add the proxy, correct?
When you double-click on the proxy listing for rutgers in the preferences, you should see a list of URLs. Are there any? Is JSTOR among them?
(Error report likely won't help. We may need a debug ID later on, but first I want to establish what's going on exactly).
And when I double click on the proxy listing for rutgers in the preferences no list of URLs comes up at all (the usual pop up with host name and multi-site fields comes up as expected). I do, however, know what you're talking about because the list pops up just fine when I use Zotero on my other computer on which the proxy is recognized and Zotero easily forwards me to the article of interest via my rutgers proxy.
