Auto- Manual pdf download

Is it possible to create a new plugin to enable downloading pdf versions of the articles to the standalone zotero after computer change?

I recently had to reinstall Zotero and when I installed it all my pdfs were deleted. I need them back because if I readd the articles, they will not be defined as the same article by my documents and will re-add them as a new reference...

    re-fetching PDFs is generally planned, but it's not going to happen anytime soon. (It'd be _possible_ to write a plugin, but it'd be a very substantial amount of work).

    But in your case, this also seems to start at the wrong end of the problem:

    could you say what exactly you did? Because re-installing Zotero would never delete any PDF, so I'd like to get a better sense of what's actually going on here. Try to provide as much detail as possible.
