Attach Link to URL not working

Hi,

I'm running WIndows 8.1, Zotero Firefox and Standalone newest versions (checked for updates).

This is a new problem. When I try to "Attach Link to URL", I get the dialog box, can enter the link and title, but when I click OK, nothing happens. I've rebooted my computer, updated Zotero, and no change. Zotero and my computer are not frozen, as the Cancel button still works, and after I click Cancel I can continue working in Zotero.

Any ideas?

What link exactly are you trying to attach?

I was initially trying to attach a link to a book I have available in Kindle Cloud Reader (as I have done many times in the past). The link looks like https://read.amazon.co.uk/?asin=XXXXXXXXX. But, when this link did not work, I tried other links (e.g. www.google.com) and it was always the same. The OK button does nothing; Cancel cancels the operation.

confirmed on current beta (6de3fa4) on Firefox.

I have exactly the same problem with any URLs I'm try to paste into Zotero client.

I'm using standalone Zotero (Ver: 4.0.25.2) under Windows XP (SP3).

It is fixed in the latest beta version and will be fixed in the next zotero version, see aurimas link above.

(note that there is not beta for Standalone, though, so for that you'd have to wait)
