PDF's not downloading into Zotero file
Hello,
I have installed zotero using chrome and the necessary plug-ins. I decided to save an article from the database to zotero. I clicked the paper icon in the browser, the box in the bottom right came up showing it was saving the info including the PDF, when it changed to a red x in the box next to the pdf.
when i went to zotero to look in the folder, there is no arrow alluding to a pdf that i can read from zotero. (I was able to open the pdf straight from the data base with no problem)
I use a PC, can anyone please help me download/access my pdf files in zotero
thank you :)

Only solution is to either use the Firefox add-on or authenticate without a proxy (e.g. via VPN or directly on campus). If those aren't options, you'll have to download and attach the PDF manually.
why is that? (i take online/off campus courses)
The person that introduced me to Zotero, downloads PDF's from EBSCO with now problem. I have sent her an email asking her what browser she has.
If you think using the Firefox add-on will help, how do i do that? Does this mean I would need to conduct my searches using firefox and not chrome?
A) while in firefox, I open Zotero, when I click on my resource to open my PDF. The PDF opens on a new tab in firefox instead of in Zotero. I would like for it to open in Zotero so I can highlight and make notes on the docuement.
B) Can I change the view of Zotero when I open it in firefox? Right now it covers half that firefox page.
C) When I attempt to pull a citation from Zotero in my word document, I access the icons on the add on tab. Since downloading firefox I am not able to use this function. Is this because that add on is part of Zotero Standalone? Please advise if you know how to fix it so I can use Zotero on my word document.
Thank you so much :)
B) Sure, you can drag it up or down so that it uses less or more of the screen (settings that Zotero remembers). You can also set it to always run in its own tab on full screen in the general tab of the prefences.
C) You need ton install the Word add-on in Firefox:
