Stops working

Zotero stops working all the time!!
When trying to add new papers by cut&paste from windows explorer, deleting files from trash, etc. Basically when trying to do anything...
  • You'll have to be more specific — it's not clear what you mean by "stops working".

    Also upgrade to the latest version, currently 4.0.25.2.
  • You are getting a strange error, though:

    Check your database integrity from the Advanced → Files and Folders pane of the Zotero preferences.

    In particular I have no idea what you mean by "add new papers by cut&paste from windows explorer".

    If you're getting temporary freezes during normal usage, try closing the tag selector in the bottom left of Zotero, particularly if you're using a touchscreen PC (for which there's currently an issue that can cause extreme slowdowns in larger libraries).
