Firefox Zotero not working with Yosemite

I just switched to Yosemite. Standalone Zotero seems to be working but I need the word plug-in. When I try to use Firefox Zotero the Z does appears in the bar, However, although I am running 4.0.23.1, when I try to use Zotero I get an error message

This version of Zotero is older than the version last used with your database. Please upgrade to the latest version from zotero.org.

Current version: 4.0.23.1

Just to be sure I click the upgrade button and get a message that I've got the latest version. Thoughts?
  • I also have a problem of compatibility after I actualized my Mac Os to its last version Yosemite (10.10). It concerns the standalone version, and the "error" seems to be different, but maybe the problem is the same.

So, when I try to insert a citation from Libreoffice, using the related Zotero button, I get an error message saying that I need to install the ancient version of Java SE 6. But at the same time, Yosemite made me actualize my version of Java SE to the last one : 8.

Someone there could help to find a solution for this concern too ?
  • @Workforce: the only reason you'd be getting that error is if you had MLZ Zotero installed previously. Either re-install that from citationstylist.org or follow fbennett's instructions here to move back to regular Zotero:

@GuilloV: No, not the same issue (when in doubt, better to start a new thread) but start here: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/41609/yosemite-word-and-libreoffice/ I believe Java 8 won't work with LibreOffice.
