APA 6th ed Journal Article Title Error

I have just started using Zotero, and am using it with the APA 6th ed citation style. I have noticed that when I created a bibliography, there is an error with the Journal Article Titles. In APA, only the first letter of a journal article is supposed to be capitalized unless it is a proper noun. The Journal title, however, keeps the capitals as published. When I create a bib reference in Zotero, the first letters of all of the words in a journal title are capitalized, and I'm having to go back and fix them.

Has anyone else encountered this? Is there a way to change it in settings? Is it a design miss?

Thanks.

The recommended practice is to set titles in sentence case in Zotero. It's more a design precaution than a design flaw: it isn't practical to convert from title case to sentence case, since systems are not able to identify proper nouns automatically. When titles are stored in sentence case in Zotero, styles can convert them to title case as required without information loss.
