URL not always included in reference list
I have the stand alone version of Zotero. I have checked the box in the preference menu that says "include URLs of paper articles in references". Of the 15 articles I cited in my paper (all of which have a URL in the URL field), only 4 show the URL in the reference list. Zotero seems to arbitrarily select some URLs for inclusion but not others. Does anybody have any idea of what the problem could be?

fbennettWhich style are you using?

pasoloedited October 6, 2014APA 6th edition. Also I'm using the "insert bibliography" feature included in the plugin for MS Word. As far as I can tell, every other feature works perfectly except for that one.

fbennettIn that style, no URL will be included in items of the Thesis type that have a value in the Archive field, nor on any other type of item that has a DOI. Does that match what you are seeing?

pasoloIt's true, the only articles that include a URL in the reference list are the ones without a DOI. However, for this particular assignment, I need to include the URL even if I have a DOI. Is there a way to force it to appear?

adamsmithnot without changing the style, unfortunately.

bwiernikDo note, the doi can function as a URL. If need be, it would be simple find and replace in your document "doi:" with "http://dx.doi.org/"
