URL not always included in reference list

I have the stand alone version of Zotero. I have checked the box in the preference menu that says "include URLs of paper articles in references". Of the 15 articles I cited in my paper (all of which have a URL in the URL field), only 4 show the URL in the reference list. Zotero seems to arbitrarily select some URLs for inclusion but not others. Does anybody have any idea of what the problem could be?
  • Which style are you using?

APA 6th edition. Also I'm using the "insert bibliography" feature included in the plugin for MS Word. As far as I can tell, every other feature works perfectly except for that one.
  • In that style, no URL will be included in items of the Thesis type that have a value in the Archive field, nor on any other type of item that has a DOI. Does that match what you are seeing?
  • It's true, the only articles that include a URL in the reference list are the ones without a DOI. However, for this particular assignment, I need to include the URL even if I have a DOI. Is there a way to force it to appear?
  • not without changing the style, unfortunately.
  • Do note, the doi can function as a URL. If need be, it would be simple find and replace in your document "doi:" with "http://dx.doi.org/"
