Unexpected status code 500 with Zotero storage

On both standalone and the Mozilla plugin I'm getting the following error. My initial thought was that there was something wrong with the file in folder 36CHGKR9 -- but that folder does not exist in storage.

[JavaScript Error: "Unexpected status code 500 getting storage file info for item 0/36CHGKR9" {file: "chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/storage/zfs.js" line: 98}]

  • Unless you're getting a similar error at the beginning of every sync, you can ignore it and just keep syncing, and it will finish. You can hover over the blue progress bar to see how much progress it's making each time.

Recent versions of Zotero retry most errors automatically, but there are still a few intermittent errors it doesn't retry. Nothing to worry about unless it isn't making progress.
  • Actually it looks like the repeated errors in this case were the result of a server problem, now resolved. Let us know if the problem resurfaces. (Occasional errors still aren't a problem, but they shouldn't be this frequent.)
