'Search' options for extracted annotations

I make use of the 'Extracted Annotations' feature a lot. Especially on PDFs I have pointed to that exist on my computer (in conjunction with Zotfile).

I would really like to be able to search for terms and phrases within the extracted annotations window. At the moment there appears to be no way to do this, apart from opening the PDF itself and searching (overkill) or copying and pasting the extracted annotations to a separate document (which I would obviously rather not do).

I expect adding a Ctrl+F search function would be super super easy. I'd be very keen to see this as a feature.

    Any thoughts on this? I should probably have said I am using a PC, standalone version of Zotero. Ctrl+F would save me lots of time.

    This is a known issue and unfortunately not super easy to fix, else it would have been implemented a long time ago.
    FWIW, Ctrl+F does work in Html mode for notes.

    I am not sure I understand the complexities of this, since a search function exists in 99% of software I use. Why can't Zotero treat the text in the Extracted Annotations pop-out as readable/searchable?

    sorry, works in Zotero for Firefox, doesn't seem to work in Standalone, at least on Windows. That might be easier to fix.

    because of the way the tinyMCE software used for notes works. Patches are obviously welcome, though, if you think there's an easy solution.
