[Request] Translator for Wormbase articles

I would love to see a translator for Wormbase papers in Zotero.

One example here: http://www.wormbase.org/resources/paper/WBPaper00042874

If you click on the "download" button (bottom right), you can get a JSON, XML, YML or HTML file, which seems to contain all the needed informations, including the PMID when relevant: http://www.wormbase.org/resources/paper/WBPaper00044185

Alternatively, there is also an API: http://www.wormbase.org/about/userguide/for_developers/API-REST/Paper

Or I guess the page could also be parsed directly to avoid a HTTP request.

Thank you.
  • that looks good. Will likely take a good amount of time, it doesn't look like the XML etc. are in a standard data format so this is no 20mins job and there are only 2-3 of us who contribute translators at this time, but it's all well structured data, so it's certainly doable and once done likely very stable.
  • Looks like a very computing-savvy site-- I wonder if they couldn't be encouraged to provide their data in any of the standard formats.
  • I'd be willing to do it if I could find any documentation on their JSON format (I haven't been able to find it yet).

OTOH, the quality of the metadata is not that great (e.g only years for dates, sometimes missing pages, abbreviated journal titles, in general missing fields). Perhaps we would be better off scraping the PMID/DOI and passing those on to appropriate search translators.
