installed the safari extension but it does not seem to work
Hi,
My laptop has mac osx 10.6.8
I am using safari version 5.1.9
I have installed the standalone version for mac osx
I also installed the safari extension (both at this computer and at the desktop, on which I am not sending details... because at home...)
I have checked under safari > preferences > extensions, and I can see the zotero extension (zotero conector 4.0.8, with the box "activate zotero conector" ticked, and with the extensions button "active")
However, when I go to a page such as NYTimes article I do find the zotero blue button in the address line of safari, or any other button enabling me to save the reference. Neither do I find below in the zotero window the link "zotero". (Therefore, in both cases unlike it happens in firefox)
Looking forward to hear from you
Joao

The Zotero icon in Safari is to the left of the URL bar. It is greyed out for non-supported pages. Can you see it there?

So you seem to be suggesting different options: just delete the cache file under firefox or go into library application support, find the files and delete them manually.
But i'm confused: if the files aren't in the cache folder, then how will deleting it get rid of the problem?

that doesn't really sound like a Zotero or Zotfile problem. File access denied means what it says - the system isn't allowing Zotero/Zotfile to access the file in question.
I'd try poking around in the permissions, starting with the Zotero data directory - most likely the 10.9 upgrade messed up something with that.
