Zotero won't open pdf

When I double click on the pdf, it wants to open in external viewer rather then in FF.

but it does open in the external viewer? By default, Zotero just passes the PDF on to Firefox, so PDFs should open the same way the open from the web.

Yes, it does open in the external viewer and I can open pdfs in FF browser. However, when I double click on my pdf attachments, it want to open in the external viewer rather than FF. I saw the other thread, and tried the dev. But, that didn't work.

so now I'm confused. What exactly do you want Zotero to do? Open the PDFs in an external viewer or not?

No, I want it to open in FireFox so I can review the document in the same tab as my Zotero library. It used to do this when I double clicked on the pdf.

Hi,
I face the same problem on Win 8, latest Firefox.
Firefox internal viewer opens PDFs, but if you try to open a pdf from Zotero, it shows a window where you can only save it or open in external viewer... till yesterday it opened in internal viewer
