NYTimes translator not working for NYT blogs

NY Times blogs are being captured improperly. If I go to, say, the Opinionator blog (e.g., http://opinionator.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/06/19/our-broken-social-contract/) and capture by pressing the icon in the address bar, the creator and date fields are not filled out, even though there are metadata fields (author, byl, pdate, ptime, utime, etc.) that contain this information. Also, the page is captured as a "web page" document type, whereas the metadata (PT=Blogs, PST=Blog Post) indicates that the document type is a blog post.

Is there a way to fix the translator to properly capture the Time's blog columns?
  • see 6. here:

the NY Times translator simply doesn't currently cover blogs.
I can take a look and most of the data is there, but it'll involve some fine-tuning to get the item type and the target regex right & won't be immedate. Patches are also welcome, of course.
  • The NYT translator now recognizes individual blog posts. I tested for Opinionator and Krugman

Your version of Zotero will automatically update within 24hs, or you can update manually using the "Update Now" button in the "General" tab of the Zotero preferences.
