JSTOR and importing file

I am new to Zotero, as my institution uses/recommends RefWorks. I am looking to see if Zotero would be a good second or alternative source for our students. I have started by trying to import an article from JSTOR to my library with absolutely no success. The icon is there, and it says 'saving' but it never appears in my library. I'm off to a very frustrating start. Suggestions?

    And, the fact that there is no 'real' or 'live' support does not bode well for librarians such as myself, in terms of recommending Zotero to students/users. If all I can do is post to a forum and hope for the best, I'm already thinking No to Zotero.

    Specifically, we need to know the URL for the page that fails to import; what Zotero (Firefox plugin or Standalone) and which version you are using and with which browser; what OS; and the Report ID mentioned in step 11 on the page above.
    And, the fact that there is no 'real' or 'live' support does not bode well for librarians such as myself, in terms of recommending Zotero to students/users. If all I can do is post to a forum and hope for the best, I'm already thinking No to Zotero.
    I'm not sure what kind of more "live" or "real" support you expect from a completely free and open source software (I'm not aware of any free software providing phone support). The typical response time for questions on the forum is within an hour and often with a few minutes. And as you can see pretty much at any time of the day.

    RefWorks has phone support. They also have a ~15k/year pricetag.

    With RefWorks a student who leaves the university will need to buy an individual subscription or export their references to another personal bibliography manager. While RefWorks telephone help is adequate for institutional subscriber contacts, it is typically unsatisfactory for individuals within institutions.

    that's actually not necessarily true anymore - RefWorks now offers an option to extend accounts to alumni. A very clever marketing ploy.

    Hello, I've been experiencing a similar problem with the jstor translator. Here is some info that might help:

    browser: iceweasel 19.0.2 with zotero 3.0.14

    @adamsmith - I see a blank pop up window in the bottom right corner for a few seconds, but then no citation is imported into my zotero library. I read issues with JSTOR on the translator page, which mentions accepting terms for pdf documents first, but the problem persists even after accepting JSTOR's terms. Other firefox addons are disabled.

    and no relevant error reports in there?

    I don't really understand what's going on. The Post looks good to me and then it seems like something goes wrong when it parses the RIS - there should be more output there if it actually did that.
