Problems with export and import
Hi, I am running Zotero 3.0.11 with Firefox 17.0.1 on a Windows 7 machine (connected to the internet), and also Zotero standalone 3.0.11.1 on a Windows 7 machine (which is not connected to an external network).
I regularly in the past have exported items using Zotero RDF format (with files) from the first machine to the second via USB. This has been faultless until a recent upgrade (of Zotero, Standalone and Firefox).
The actual items travel across fine (books, journal articles, web pages, etc), but any attached snapshots or pdfs appear on the standalone machine after import as linked pages (which cannot be opened). Also, isolated pdfs do not import at all on the standalone machine.
Any thoughts?

If yes, see if you can provide an error report
after importing on standalone:
http://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_bugs#provide_a_report_id
since you can't send an ID, copy& paste the entire content of the report (if any) here.
There is an error report in Standalone, but all the items seem to relate to the Word integration extension. (I restarted word then immediately tried the import, and this is the error report after that.)
Nevertheless, here is the error report:

Thanks for the super quick responses!

No need to send the PDFs—just the .rdf file will do.
I wondered if there is limits on the number of bibliographic entries that can be saved? I have my library stored on my PC.
http://www.zotero.org/support/kb/transferring_a_library
If these files consume a giga of memory in Zotero and freezes my machine. How I can download the other two files without saturating the memory?
Am I understanding this right, that you import two RIS files and the amount of memory being consumed by Zotero goes up to about 1GB? Does the amount of memory being used decrease if you restart Zotero/Firefox? Can you import another file after restarting?
First and foremost, we should move this discussion to another thread. This is unrelated to the original poster's question (sorry I didn't realize this earlier). Please start a new thread in the import/export category and copy your last post above (that has most of the relevant info).
Furthermore, provide your operating system and version, Zotero version (Firefox plugin, if so which Firefox version, or Standalone and which version exactly) and make sure your translators are up to date (Preferences... -> General -> Update Now). See if you can reproduce the problem after updating the translators.
I am currently importing 15,000 items (~30MB file). After 15 minutes it's about 1/4 way through, but I see almost no increase in memory (maybe 20MB so far, but it's a bit jumpy, so it's hard to tell) and Firefox is not frozen. I'll do further testing with importing multiple files, but so far it doesn't look like I am able to reproduce your problem.
