Zotero disappears after update to FF 13.0.1

Latest Firefox update (13.0.1) was applied on Sat, 6/16. Zotero no longer appears anywhere in list of plug-ins. Winword add-in is still there. Running Win7. Can I just download & re-install Zotero & then re-sync ?

Thanks for any enlightenment.

  • that's quite odd & shouldn't be possible - my sense it that this would be a bug on the FF side - an extension should never just disappear. You're sure it's nowhere among the installed extensions? Greyed out maybe?

But yes, you can just re-install Zotero - there is a good chance you won't even have to sync. If Zotero doesn't automatically find it's old library, look around for it and you should be able to re-link it.

  • Reinstalled Zotero & it synced perfectly. I'll submit a bug rpt on the FF side. Thanks for you help.
  • I'm on a Mac but the same sort of thing happened to me. I installed FF 13.0.1 and allowed the install process to restart FF. Then, it seemed I had no plugins at all. I quit FF and restarted FF and everything was fine. This happened on two computers but not on three others in my office.
