Newb on 2 counts
I'm new to Zotero and to Firefox but this doesn't seem to be working. I look at the training videos and it shows I should either have an icon in the status bar in Firefox (there isn't a status bar and FF "help" says there hasn't been one for several versions) or there should be an icon up in the address bar: either a book or a folder icon but there are neither.
Unfortunately, too, all the videos use Macs rather than Firefox, so I don't know if this is a Mac issue or a Firefox issue.
I also don't know enough about Firefox to know if I'm supposed to turn on something or if it's automatically on. I went to the Add-Ons Manager and both Zotero 3.07 and the 3.17 Word add-on are showing. When I click on "options" it freezes up FIrefox and I have to threaten to shut it down via Task Manager to unfreeze it.
I'm using Windows 7 (64-bit) and Firefox 12.0.
I hope I can get this to work because it looks like a great tool. Thanks in advance for any help.

Just the regular "downloads" "add-ons" etc.
This is a brand new Firefox install, with nothing copied over from IE, so there are no add-ons that I've put in that would be blocking this.
Also of note, when I click on "options" it still freezes up the pane and I have to threaten to shut it down via Task Manager to get it to unfreeze.
If Zotero isn't showing in the menu this is really a Firefox issue more than a Zotero one, but I'd try uninstalling Firefox completely, including the profile data, and reinstalling.
I have uninstalled and reinstall both Firefox and Zotero twice, removing the profile data but still no luck.
