Special character {{\O}} in BibTeX export

Export to BibTeX an item with the author name Nørsett. The result is N{{\O}}rsett instead of the expected N{{\o}}rsett.
  • Are you using the latest version of the BibTeX translator? Due to its size, the latest version is only available via Reset Translators and Styles (from the Advanced pane of the Zotero prefs) in Zotero 1.0 releases.

I don't actually see any mapping for that character in the latest version of the translator, but you can export it properly using UTF-8. That may be better or worse for your purposes...

I acquired the latest version of the BibTeX translator. You're right: there's now no mapping at all for that character.

For my purposes it's neither better nor worse: in both cases I need to manually correct the .bib file (or the .bbl file generated therewith). (LaTeX/BibTeX can't eat the `ø' character.)
