New Style Created for Vadose Zone Journal

The Vadose Zone Journal is published by the Soil Science Society of America. None of the journals by this publisher are listed in Zotero's current style repository.

The style appears similar to the Annals of the Association of American Geographers style that exists already. The differences I identified between that style and the one used by Vadose Zone Journal (VZJ) are:

- Nothing (including journal names) are italicized for VZJ.
- For books, the publisher comes first, followed by the location (city, country) for VZJ.
- For VZJ there is no space between initials (e.g. Eagleson, P.S. not Eagleson, P. S.)
- There is no PP for VZJ (this is not there in the example for Annals of the Association of American Geographers, but was in my bibliography when I applied that style).

A freely available PDF example is at: https://www.soils.org/publications/vzj/pdfs/10/2/473

The author instructions are at: https://www.soils.org/publications/authors/vzj-instructions

Thank you!
  • I made these changes myself. The file is here:

  • thanks looks great, I'll upload it asap.
  • actually - sorry for not looking at this more closely earlier -
we have a style for the "American Society of Agronomy" on the repository - if it has mistakes we should fix them. Would you mind taking a look?
  • I didn't see that style before... I searched for Soil Science Society of America, but not the associated society name. From my quick check, the styles are the same.

I see here (http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/8095/new-style-request-agronomy-journalcrop-science/%3FFocus%3D67830) there is a discussion about adding dependent styles to this style, including for vadose zone journal. I am not sure how to do this, but I think that's a good idea.

    Thanks adamsmith!
  • great - thanks for looking. I'll handle the dependent styles I have a shell script to automate that.
  • the missing dependent styles are now up - sorry it took so long.
