adding notes to "linked" webpages

So if I hit the link button in zotero to create a link to a webpage, I can't add notes about this webpage. This seems pretty essential.

    Instead of hitting the link button, hit the create new item from current page. That will give the link, and also the parent item that you can add notes to. See my comments here

    Ok, maybe I am misunderstanding...
    I am at the forums page right now. I want to add it to a collection and add some notes.
    I hit the "new item" button and it gives me a lot of choices.. but not webpage.
    So I choose Document. It creates a blank item, but no link to my original page, right?

    Any help appreciated.

    Ok, so there is a workaround.
    But really, I should be able to just hit the "Save link to current page" button, then add notes about the current webpage.
    Doesn't this make more sense?

    Again, feel free to correct me if I am missing something.

    For web pages, use the "Create New Item from Current Page" button to the right of the "New Item" button.
