Feature request: plugin for KWord

I am starting to experiment with KOffice and especially KWord (http://www.koffice.org/) and I think it has great potential. I would like to request that the Zotero team look at it and consider making a plugin available, as we have already for OpenOffice. I will write a similar recommendation on the KOffice Forum (http://forum.kde.org/viewforum.php?f=96).

With thanks, Martin
  • See this blog post, and Thomas Zander's comment.
  • Thank you, most interesting - it's good to know that this is already being thought about.
  • For completeness, my most on the KOffice forum is at http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=96&t=82972#p133693
  • I meant 'my post', obviously...
  • Did anything ever come of this?
A plugin for koffice, or the new fork Calligra (which looks lovely!) would be great!
  • no. If this is going to happen it's almost certainly going to be done by a third party - neither Zotero nor KWord (or most likely its forks) have the capacity for that.
  • shame, maybe i'll head over to calligra and make the suggestion there...
    thanks for the quick reply!
  • I did originally make the suggestion on the kde forums, as indicated above, but Calligra would be the place now. Once you make the suggestion could you please post the link here? Thanks!
  • Sorry for the delay!
i had problems registering over at the kde forums, but i've added the suggestion for the plugin today.

we'll have to wait and see what response it gets....

  • I think you're reading too much in that comment. It doesn't seem like anything Zotero-specific has been announced. See also http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=203&t=100759#p216594
