ProQuest

ProQuest is not downloading either the citation or the document. I checked out the Known Translator Issues page and didn't see anything but if I missed it, let me know. I did notice ProQuest's site is looking shiny and new--maybe the old translators don't work?

many thanks
  • See http://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues

Please give a URL and an error report ID. Thanks!
  • we need a permalink to an item (usually in the form proquest.com/docview/12345678 ) in question to be able to take a look.
  • Sorry about that. The URL (includes my institutions proxy) is: http://muse.jhu.edu.proxy-um.researchport.umd.edu/journals/meridians/toc/mer.11.1.html

Report ID: [JavaScript Error: "Translate: translator called select items with no items" {file: "file:///Users/jmjohnso/Library/Application%20Support/Firefox/Profiles/axsjepac.default/zotero/translators/Project%20MUSE.js" line: 0}]
  • I should note that I was trying to get the citations/items from the journal page not the article page. So I was trying to click the manilla folder in the address bar when the error happened. When I tried to do it via the individual articles, it worked. BUT what I'd like it to pull all the pieces in the journal (and this issue happens to have several) without having to go article by article. Which I think it is supposed to be able to do?

Any help you can provide would be great
  • ah, OK - that's project muse, not proquest.
Confirmed, I'll have a look (and yes, this should work).
  • Erp. Sorry about that.
  • A fixed translator is currently under review -
If you want to help test it or are in a hurry, you can download the file from here:
    https://github.com/adam3smith/translators/raw/muse/Project%20MUSE.js
and save it to the translator folder in the Zotero data directory -
    http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data#locating_your_zotero_library
    overwriting the old file.
  • OK, the translator is now up. It will update within 24hs in your copy of Zotero or you can manually update from the general tab of the Zotero preferences.
