pdf link fails to open actual pdf

New to zotero so apologize if I'm being dumb.

Most of the time, when I click on the pdf link online it just opens a dialog screen about the pdf entry rather than the actual pdf. I've never got it to work by just clicking on the pdf if it's the parent item the self, and only rarely when the pdf shows up at the bottom of the screen after clicking on the parent item. From the amount of storage space used it appears most pdfs have uploaded. I get no error message.

pdfs are not shared for public groups, that could be the issue. (Your ideology group is closed but public).

If you're logged in viewing your own library there should be two links for downloadable attachments on a parent item page. One that goes to the zotero entry for that child item, and a second (in parentheses) that is the file download. If you're viewing the zotero entry for the actual attachment there should be a "Download" row in the metadata with just the download link.

What do you mean by a dialog screen? Clicking a link to the pdf zotero entry should just be a new web page.

The url is to a Word document where I've pasted the screenshots of what I'm seeing in zotero when I try to open a pdf in my online library.

I meant what are the urls you see on the pages you took screenshots of. I'm trying to determine if there is actually a bug on the website here or if there are simply no files stored for those items.
