syncing not happening

I am trying to sync on a new computer. I have a library on another computer and can see that it has uploaded.

I have 'checked for updates' and from what I can see, the newest version is on this computer but when I hit the sync button the red button beside it glows and tells me that my version is too old to sync.

What am I missing? Any help would be welcomed.

    Not clear exactly what message you're getting. Years-old versions of Zotero aren't able to sync but that wouldn't happen for a new version.

    What's the exact message you're receiving?

    Can you provide a Debug ID for a sync that gives you an error?
  • You were exactly right! As this is my work computer that I am allowed to use to do my professional development on, they had to install the program. After a quick reinstall of the newest version I was off to the races.
