Adding Zotero to Microsoft 365 on Mac

Hello,

I was able to download Zotero desktop version to my Mac and it works with the Desktop version of Microsoft Word for Mac. However, I am wanting to integrate it with Microsoft Word 365 so that I can work on shared file with a student. What plug-in would I need to use?

  • If you're talking about Office Online, that's not currently possible — Microsoft doesn't currently provide the necessary tools for us to integrate with that in a satisfactory manner.

    Note that Zotero does work in Google Docs and can be used collaboratively there.

  • Thank you. This was helpful. I found out that I would have to open Word Online document in the Desktop App for Zotero plug-in to show in the Ribbon. Then any updates that I make using the Desktop App, I can save to One Drive and all the edits our visible with the citations.
