Mac Word 2004: doc upgrade, styles not sticking and switching windows manually

I've recently upgraded to 2.0 and now I am prompted every time I open my document and try to insert a citation the first time that session that the doc must be upgraded (click ok) and then I'm prompted to choose my style (every time). Though to choose my style, I have to manually switch over to the FF window - it no longer pops up on its own. When I choose the style, it's fine, I add the citation - though again, I have to keep manually switching back and forth between the Word and FF windows.

Does anyone else have this experience? Is there a way to 'fix' any of the above behaviours:
1. Upgrade the document once and for all (copying the content, copying the file - neither works)
2. Making my style choice for the document 'stick'.
3. Making the window toggle automatic again so I don't have to actually alternate back and forth myself.

And I'm using the latest version of the plugin and python ext. And I've also deleted the old zotero.dot file and 'reinstalled the word components' from the add-on window, to no avail.

(And finally, yes, I'll upgrade to Office 2008 eventually, but not right now if I can help it.)
  • The window toggle problem will be fixed in 2.0b7.5, due out in the next couple of days, but we've never seen the issue with the style before. If you create a new document, add a citation, restart Firefox, and try to add another citation, do you still see an issue with the style sticking?
  • Great - looking forward to 2.0b7.5!

The style-sticking issue seems to have gone away. Must have just been a fluke that day when I upgraded.
  • 2.0b7.5 is available now.
  • Just upgraded and indeed, the window toggle problem is gone. Thanks!
