Mendeley data erased from Zotero import?

Hi,

When I imported data from Mendeley with Zotero 6, it seemed that my data were erased from Mendeley's cloud. Also, I do not see an advertisement for that. Does it really happen or is it possible to find my data in Mendeley? Or can it transfer from Zotero 6 to Mendeley with pdf files, annotations and notes and the same structure of the files?
  • No, Zotero makes no changes whatsoever to your online Mendeley library — it simply pulls data.
  • There, when I import from the direct connection, nothing suppose to happen or be erased in Mendeley. Right? So, how can retrieve my files in Mendeley? Sign in on the Elsevier site or synchronize my local database? Do you have a sure process to retrieve my data or not commit a fatal error?

Is it possible to transfer my import library into Mendeley for a backup?
  • Again, all the Zotero importer does is pull data from your online Mendeley library. If you have a question about your Mendeley library, you would have to ask them.

If you've been using Mendeley Desktop and want to import into Zotero, you would need to sync Mendeley Desktop to your Mendeley online library first.
