Zotero Connector: Publication date not imported for Royal Society Open Science articles

When importing from the journal Royal Society Open Science with the Zotero Connector (Atypon Journals), the field Date is not imported and is left empty in the metadata.
Two examples:

Is it possible to fix it?

    We can try to work around this, but you should also contact them: the publication date isn't in the RIS (only the Access date, Y2, is).
    Check Tools --> Download Citations --> RIS
