Add a search field to Zotero Style Editor?

I find Zotero Style Editor immensely useful, as it shows how things will turn out immediately. But as style files are so long, I find myself cutting and pasting them into a text editor, running a search to find the bit I need to work on, then cutting and pasting the whole thing back into the Zotero Style Editor to see if it worked.

Would it be possible to add a simple search (and maybe even find and replace) function to the next updated of the Style Editor?

Yes, we're switching to a different built-in code editor for the style editor in the next major version of Zotero, and it will have more features, including find/replace.
