Problems installing the LibreOffice plugin
I switched from Mendeley to Zotero a few months ago and all good, except that I haven't been able to install the LibreOffice plugin, therefore, I can't cite nor create bibliographies, which is rather annoying.
Every time I try to install it, I get a message that the installation failed ("An error occurred during the installation of the Zotero LibreOffice Plugin"), I've tried the Manual Installation, but I also get an error (this one reads "(com.sun.star.uno.RuntimeException) { { Message = "C++ code threw N10jfw_plugin25MalformedVersionExceptionE: std::exception", Context = (com.sun.star.uno.XInterface) @0 } }", which I have no idea what it means).
I'm not the most tech savvy person and I can't really understand what's going on. I just want to install the plugin to be able to cite and reference on my text documents on LibreOffice.
Any help is really appreciated!

If I run the automatic PlugIn installation i get the following message: "Installation could not be completed because an error occurred. Please ensure that LibreOffice is closed, and then restart Zotero."
When I try the manual one, first I get "LibreOffice requires a Java runtime environment (JRE) to perform this task. The selected JRE is defective. Please select another version or install a new JRE and select it under LibreOffice - Preferences - LibreOffice - Advanced."
And then when trying to install it shows "Could not create Java implementation loader".
After reading online about this defective JRE and watching a few Youtube videos I've downloaded the last JDK (18.0.2.1), which is what, if I understand correctly, should have a working JRE. But I am a little lost and I'm not even sure if the JDK was installed properly (although in LibreOffice's Java Options it does appear as the JRE used).
For LO specifically, you can also try deleting your LO profile folder, as mentioned in troubleshooting steps.
I tried deleting the LO profile folder following the troubleshooting steps, but unfortunately the plugin installation is still not working. I get the same messages when I try the automatic and manual installations.
In the following days, when I have a little bit more time than currently, I'll try to update the OS and see if somehow that helps.
Thank you for your help!
