I dislike opening another thread just to get noticed, especially because I know that the devs spend lots of time on the forums helping us, but I do feel some attention for this perpetually recurring request would be nice. For background and motivation, see this post (in that same thread) and all the pile-on request from other users mystified by the counter-intuitive workings of the UI wrt attachment names vs. file names.
