How to create style for SBL 1 with ebook from SBL2?

Hi, I've just started studying at an institution where for the time being they are using SBL1. However, for ebooks they specify to use the style from SBL2. I'm not too familiar with which sections of the style code affect ebooks. Would anyone have some pointers to help me edit the SBL 1 style into a hybrid to suit this institution's requirements?
